Hello, I’m Jess, a self-taught artist based in the East Midlands, UK. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, and what began as a lifelong hobby has grown into something far more meaningful. Art has become my therapy, my escape, and a creative path I’m now excited to pursue more seriously.

Life & Inspiration

My hobbies and passions play a huge role in shaping both how I live and how I create. My artistic journey began with my mum, a talented oil painter and all-round creative, whose guidance and encouragement have had a lasting influence on my work. Over time, I’ve developed my own style through sketching and tonal work — a journey that eventually led to the launch of this website and my art business.

Outside of drawing, I spend a lot of my time gaming. I enjoy everything from FPS to RPGs, but MMORPGs will always hold a special place in my heart, particularly for their incredible digital art and world-building. Games like The Elder Scrolls Online and World of Warcraft are especially meaningful to me, thanks to the shared memories and inspiration they’ve given me alongside my dad and brother.

Photography is another creative passion of mine, inspired by my dad, and something we’ve come to enjoy together over the years. One day, I hope to incorporate photography into my small business as it continues to grow.

I’m also a lifelong animal lover. I currently share my life with two dogs and two rabbits, who bring me immense comfort and peace. One of my dogs is my emotional support animal, and their presence has been a constant source of grounding, inspiration, and unconditional love.

My Creative Journey

I’m a self-taught artist based in the UK, and I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. What started as a simple hobby has slowly grown into something much deeper — a place for comfort, expression, and connection. Inspired by my mum’s love of oil painting, I began with small doodles and sketches, and before I knew it, art became my safe place — something I now hope to share with others through my work.

My journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve experienced deep loss and grief, including the heartbreaking passing of my childhood horse, who was my comfort and safe space during some of the hardest moments of my life. Alongside ongoing mental health struggles, this led me to step away from everyday life for a while. Through all of it, drawing remained a constant. It became more than a passion — it became a lifeline, a way to process emotions when words weren’t enough.

With the unwavering love and support of my family and friends, I’ve slowly found my way back to myself. I’m endlessly grateful to those who have stood by me. Now, I’m finally taking the first steps toward building something of my own. Jess Eliza Arts is more than just a name to me — it represents growth, resilience, and the choice to turn pain into something meaningful and beautiful.

Artistically, I love exploring different mediums. Charcoal and traditional work will always have my heart, and I currently offer charcoal pet portrait commissions — something I truly enjoy creating. More recently, I’ve discovered a love for digital art and have been slowly developing my own style through digital illustrations. My work often features my own original characters, as well as pieces inspired by the shows, games, and worlds I love (I’m very much into all things nerdy and a little weird).

My dream is to one day create my own digital illustrations and animations — maybe even animate an original show — but for now, I’m taking baby steps and enjoying the learning process. In the future, I’ll also be opening digital commissions for your favourite characters and original characters, so keep an eye out for that.
