Hi, I’m Jess — a self taught artist based in the East Midlands, UK. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, and what started as a lifelong hobby has grown into something much more meaningful. Art has become my therapy, my escape, and now, a path I’m excited to pursue more seriously. This website presents journey of art business, its beginning (May 12th) through its hopeful future growth — and I’m so grateful you’re here to be part of it.
Life & Inspiration
My hobbies and passions play a big role in shaping how I live and what I create. My artistic journey began with my mum, a talented oil painter and general artist who mentors greatly. Over time I’ve developed my own style through sketching and tonal work which has led to me launching this web site and business.
In my spare time, you’ll often find me gaming — I enjoy everything from FPS to RPGs, but MMORPGs for the incredible digital art styles, like Elder Scrolls Online and World of Warcraft will always have a special place in my heart, thanks to my dad and brother.
Photography is another love of mine, inspired by my dad, and it’s something we’ve come to enjoy together. One day I hope to incorporate photography into my new small business!
I’m also a lifelong animal lover — I currently have two dogs and two rabbits who bring me so much peace and comfort. One of my pups is even my emotional support animal and their presence means the world to me.
My Creative Journey
I’m a self-taught artist based in the UK, and I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. Over the years, what started as a simple hobby has grown into something much more — a space for healing, expression, and personal connection. Inspired by my mum’s love of oil painting, I began with simple doodles and sketches, and over time, art became my safe place — one I now hope to share with others through my work.
My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve experienced deep loss and grief, including the heart-breaking passing of my childhood horse — my comfort and safe space through some of life’s hardest moments. That loss, along with ongoing mental health challenges, led me to step away from everyday life for a while. Despite these hard life changes, drawing remained a constant. It became more than a passion — it became a lifeline, a way to process what words couldn’t.
Thanks to the unwavering love and support of my family and friends, I’ve slowly found my way back to myself. I’m endlessly grateful to those who have stood by me. Now, I’m finally taking the first steps toward building something of my own. Jess Eliza Arts is more than just a name — it’s a reflection of growth, resilience, and the decision to turn pain into something beautiful.
